April - May

Five Hour Fishing Trip - $450.00

June - October

Half Day Fishing Trip (4 hours) - $350.00

A deposit of $150.00 is required within seven (7) days after booking a trip. The balance is due on the day of the trip. Please note, we accept cash or traveler's checks only.

Cancellations: Deposits are refunded only if you cancel your trip within fourteen (14) days of the scheduled trip. Reel Happy Charters reserves the right to cancel any trip for inclement or dangerous weather. In the event that Reel Happy Charters cancels a trip, you may reschedule the trip or receive a refund of the deposit.

What's Included in the Trip

A guided fishing trip with Reel Happy Fishing Charters includes the following:

• Quality Level Wind Reels & Spinning Reels from Abu Garcia and Quantum
• Quality Fly Rods from Scott and High Quality Reels from Abel as well as Rio and Airflo Lines
• Quality Bait Casting Rods from Shakespeare & Shimano
• A High Quality Boat - the boat is a 2006 Parker 21SE with a 150 Yamaha equipped with 2 VHF radios, cell phone, GPS, bow mounted electric motor, Garmin Fish Finder, and all the required U.S. Coast Guard safety equipment.
• A Daily Network of up-to-date information about the best fishing spots on the Hudson River

What to Bring

All fishing equipment is supplied, as well as bait. In addition, the following items are suggested:

• Polarized sunglasses
• Sunscreen
• Hat
• Camera and film
• Foul weather gear
• Boat shoes (PLEASE NO BLACK SOLED SNEAKERS OR BOOTS)
• Food and beverage (no alcohol is allowed)

Directions to the Riverview Marina & Dutchman's Landing Boat Ramp

From the NYS Thruway: exit the thruway and at the red light take a left. Stay on this road for roughly 1.5 miles until you come to the only red light on the Main Street in Catskill. Go directly through the red light and approx. 500 yards on the right you will see the Riverview Marina (a large red  building with  boats near  the street). Reel Happy Fishing Charters is located at this Marina.
(Note - these directions are to be used during the striper season only, April and May)

Directions from the east side of the Hudson (i.e. Hudson and Columbia county): cross the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. When you cross the bridge you will come to a red light, take a left on route 385 for approx. a half mile until you come to a stop sign. At this stop sign take a right, you will go down a steep hill and come to another red light, at this light take a left and travel 500 yards until you see the Riverview Marina (a large red building with boats near the street on your right) Reel Happy is located at this Marina. 
(Note - these directions are to be used during the striper season only, April-May)

Directions to Dutchman's Landing Boat Ramp: use the same directions as above (depending upon where you are coming from), but continue on approx. one hundred yards  after the Riverview Marina and take a left at the sign for Dutchman's Landing. Continue on this road for approx. another hundred yards and the ramp will be visible, as will parking spaces for you to park during the trip.
(Note - Reel Happy only uses the ramp from June - October)
